‍Pitchfork is one of the biggest music blogs in the world. And nothing is more divisive than its 'Best New Music' category. It answers the simple question of 'what rating would I get?'.

While learning the basics of Spark AR I decided that creating a 'Pitchfork rating generator' would be a fun project!I clicked uploadPlaying with the pre established ‘Which are you?’ formula, Instagramers could finally find out their 'Pitchfork rating?'.

‍I shared it with my friends and soon forgot about it.A couple of weeks later I received a notification:'Your filter has reached a new milestone of 100,000 impressions'.Turns out I wasn't the only person that wanted to know 'what would Pitchfork rating?' I'd get.

Turns out, front man of Fleet Foxes Robin Pecknold had become obsessed with the filter.To the extent where a highlights reel was added to his instagram pageI was shocked. It didn't stop there. I saw it being used by Phoebe Bridgers and members of Gang of Youths.ResultsAt the time of writing this, the stats have some pretty insane numbers...
